How to Create and Manage Email Accounts in DirectAdmin

Creating an Email Account

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin:

  2. Open your web browser and go to your DirectAdmin login URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.com:2222).

  3. Enter your username and password provided by Dragon Web Host.

  4. Navigate to the Email Accounts Section:

  5. In the DirectAdmin interface, locate the Email Accounts option under the E-Mail Management section.

  6. Click on the Create Mail Account button.

  7. Fill in the required details:

Email: Enter the desired email prefix (e.g., info, support) before your domain name (e.g., info@yourdomain.com).
Password: Create a strong password for your email account.
Quota: Set a storage limit for the account (default is typically sufficient, but you can adjust as needed).

  1. Click Create to save your new email account.

Upon successful creation, you will see a confirmation message. Your email account is now ready to use!

Managing Email Accounts

View Existing Accounts:

  1. Return to the Email Accounts section to see a list of all your existing email accounts.

Edit Email Account Settings:

Locate the email account you wish to modify and click on the Modify option.
Update fields such as password or quota as needed.
Don’t forget to save the changes.

Delete an Email Account:

  1. In the Email Accounts section, find the email account you want to remove.

  2. Click on Delete next to the account.

  3. Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the account and its contents.

Accessing Your Email

You can access your email via any webmail client that supports protocols like IMAP/SMTP, or you can use Dragon Web Host's recommended webmail interface.

Troubleshooting

Cannot log in: Ensure that you are using the correct email address and password. If you forget your password, you can reset it through the DirectAdmin panel.

Email not sending/receiving: Check your account settings and ensure your domain’s DNS records are correctly configured.
